Janji is a Boston-based company that produces and sells athletic apparel with a focus on performance and style, while also supporting clean water initiatives around the world. The company was founded in 2012 by two runners, Mike Burnstein and Dave Spandorfer, who wanted to create high-quality running gear that would also help address the global water crisis. Janji's products include running shorts, shirts, jackets, and accessories, all featuring unique designs inspired by different regions and cultures around the world.
In addition to its products, Janji also partners with non-profit organizations such as Water.org and the National Clean Water Collective to support clean water initiatives in countries such as Haiti, Peru, Kenya, and Tanzania. The company donates a portion of its profits to these organizations, with the goal of improving access to clean drinking water and sanitation for people in need. Overall, Janji aims to combine performance, style, and social responsibility in its products and mission.
What Misty has to say about janji, “One big reason why I love janji so much is due to their story. I love the simple fact that they care about helping people and trying to provide a better life for underprivileged countries. I also love that they feature local artists to come up with their design and keep it extremely personal. As far as their clothes go, their Women's 3" AFO Middle Shorts are my favorite because of how lightweight they are and how they feel like nothing and are extremely technical. Every piece of apparel or accessories that I have from them serves multiple purposes. I can run, swim, and do everything in their shorts knowing how fast they dry. I also love that most of their apparel is seamless and keeps me from chafing in those crevasses. The Women's Infinity Sports Bra is the first run bra that I have bought from them and I love how simple and light it is. It does not a lot of padding, yet it is nice and supportive. I have only worn it once and I am currently testing it to see how many wears I can get out of it without washing it. Janji claims that you can wear their gear multiple times without washing it for traveling and running so we will see. I know I can do it with their shorts!".
