  • Meet the Brooks Glycerin 23: All the Comfort You Love, Now Even Better

What's new about the Glycerin 23 vs. the Glycerin 22?

    1. Cushioning & Ride Feel

    • While both use DNA Tuned nitrogen-infused foam, the Glycerin 23 has about 2 mm more foam under the forefoot, which makes the ride feel slightly softer and more cushioned, especially during toe-off.

    2. Heel-to-Toe Drop

    • Glycerin 22: ~10 mm drop.

    • Glycerin 23: lowered to ~8 mm drop, giving a more balanced, less “steep” feel from heel to toe.

    3. Upper / Fit

    • Glycerin 22 uses a comfortable engineered or StealthFit knit upper.

    • Glycerin 23 updates this to a triple jacquard warp knit, which feels more refined, breathable, and accommodating.

    4. Ride Characteristics

    • Runners often describe the 23 as feeling slightly bouncier, smoother through transitions, and more balanced overall.

    • The 22 still offers excellent plush cushioning but feels a touch firmer and lighter.

Glycerin or Glycerin GTS: What's best for me?

    Glycerin 23

The Glycerin 23 is best for people with a neutral gait, meaning they do not need any added stability in their shoes. The Glycerin is great for anyone who prefers a shoe with plush cushioning. The Glycerin also offers very smooth and stable transitioning, making it great for a variety of activities.

    Glycerin GTS 23

The Glycerin GTS 23 is best for people who need some added support in their shoes. This means it is best for people who pronate. Even with its added support, the Glycerin GTS still has that plush cushioned feel that everyone loves about the Glycerin lineup!
